Simulation (Gas/Liquid Networks)

PAnORaMA is a transient simulator for any piping network which transports gas or liquid from one or more sources to one or more end users. Simulators are basically of two types: Steady state simulator and transient (or dynamic) simulator. Most simulators have a capability to do steady state simulation, i.e. they predict through calculation how the network will perform if no operating parameter changes for a fairly long time (several minutes in liquid carrying network, and several hours in gas networks). These simulators do not calculate or predict what happens during the immediate aftermath of any change in feed/product specifications (flow rate, pressure, properties etc.). A transient simulator traces this change in time also. If it is run for a sufficiently long time, it also predicts steady state performance.

PAnORaMA is thus capable of predicting transient as well as steady state performance of any liquid/gas network.
